Dar-al-Islam which means "house of Islam" was a unifying force because as Muslims drew inspirations from other societies, Islam law established a common cultural foundation to the lands ruled by Islam and thus became part of this large society.

Dar-al-Islam sets a fence around the areas that are not Islam. They try to maintain a centralized religion by unifying the people inside.

Dar-al-Islam was a major of unifying ideals that muslim leaders used to unite the Islamic forces. This ideal was beneficial since the people of Islam felt much mor esecure since they were able to keep all the non Islamic people out since it was the HOUSe of Islam. Where only Islamic people could live and be in.

ulama and qadis and missionararies helped to bridged differences in cultural traditions and to spread islamic values. the ulamas and qadis held position at all islamic courts and were prominent in the public lives. formal educational institutions also helped. mosques maintained schools.

Dar-al-Islam was a unifying force in the Muslim world because it means "house of Islam" where many lands of varied cultural background became part of a larger society. Islamic law didn't erase the differences, but it established a common cultural foundation that facilitated dealings between people of various Islamic lands (concept of dar-al-Islam)

Dar-al-Islam unified the Muslim world in a few ways. It declared an official language- arabic, it had the Sharia which was the basic law according to the Q'uran and Hadith. Also, the quadi and the sufis helped with this process. It even created a similar form of art since Islamic belief was that no animal or human should be in art.
