It benefited a lot in both politically and society. Since Chinese gov't try to hire beuacrats who are smart and talented, they made this test to exam the normal people if they are talented to govern the county. So if the normal people study hard, they could become rich by working for the country which is good for society. Also it was good in politically because they have more beuacrats who are smart and who are good to govern.

The Chinese Civil Service Examination was a new "thing" going on to pick out the smart and new people. The Chinese were examinating the smart people and therefore choosing them as government officials. This first of all totally changed the social system. Dumb people would go to the bottom while smart people rose to power. The Gov't also changed since it was now run by smart people the political powers started to get stronger.

The Civil Service Examination System encouraged pursuit of formal education but it also allowed upward social mobility. The exams were open to all males regardless of age or social class. This examination system also allowed Confucianism to be the center of Chinese education.

The examination was opened to anyone, but not everyone was rich enough to afford the studying fees. Special tutors were necessary to pass the examination, thus making it hard for the lower and middle class.

The Chinese Civil Service Examination System gave an opportunity to peasants (not so wealthy people) to get a job in the government or close to it.

it allowed more social mobility in china for the society and also the government improved since it was now full of intelectuals instead of only rich greedy aristocrats. even though it allowed some social mobility it was still hard for the poorest class because you had to pay a good deal of money for the exam. The exam also enforced confucian practices in china

The Chinese civil service examination system had a huge affect on chinese politics and society. It encouraged intelligent people to try politics. This resulted in a stonger political system. While benefitting the government, it had both pros and cons for the social status. It gave people of lower status a chance to upgrade but at the same time did the oppostite to those who were not so bright.
