Both of them were affected by the social unrest (problems with corrupt aristocracy, land distribution, etc.).

In what ways do the revolutions propose to deal with the problems that Clara mentions? What are their solutions and how (what type) might you categorize them? What changes did they emphasize and envision?

Both of the places' powers were held by socialists. China's leader was Mao Zedung and Russia's leader was Lenin. However, after the end of WWI, Russia was suffering by the Great Depression, while China wasn't affected by the depression.

both led to more equality among women and men, at least theoretically because of communist beliefs that said all people are equal

Political structure played a major role in both revolutions: in the Russian revolution, monarchs were completely eliminated to create a people-based government. In China, however, the fight between communism and capitalism was the basis of the revolution.

What we have to take into account is that both revolutions came out due to the Great War. In Russia first of all there was some ideals but once Lenin was brought back into Russia they increased the ideals of Communism. THe fairness and equality among people. CHina sort of the same way however it was not a real Revolution but a sort of civil war because it was a battle between those who wanted communism and those who wanted Capitalism. The Chinese Communism war which led to a revolution of Capitalism to Communism. Both countries were suppposed to brign equality among peopple. But somewhere much more powerfull than other people like Lenin, and Stallin in Russia and all the Chinese communist leaders.

Russia revolution occurred before the war had ended. Soviets wanted to end the suffering from the war and later signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk which gave Germans posession over much of Russia's territory. China had become Communist China which gave equality to women. Something similar they both had was that both were not sympathetic to traditional values for example, Lenin wanted to destroy traditional patterns and challenge the institutions of libreal society.

The aftermath of both revolutions was that both Russia and China became communist. However, China was divided into two; China and Taiwan were China was communist and Taiwan republic.

Both were communists revolutions and both were led by egotistic personalities- Lenin and Mao. The Russian revolution was a revolt against a ruling Tsar while the Chinese Revolution was more of a civil war with a peasant and nationalist army fighting against eachother.

russia- was led because of loss of wars and the lacking behind of Westernization. in addition it was the first european country to lose against an asian country which led to social and political unrest, and during the great war. the goal was to become a world leader in power- more westernized. lenin begun the 4 year plan etc. but it was a failure due that it expectancy was to high. yet they went to the moon first.
China- due that japan wanted to protect them from bad instead they just wanted to take land from them. in addition China people were angry because of the treaties of the European although nobody colonize china. so in china there was two- Nationalists and Socialist. at first nationalist were in power due that Sun yatsen that killed everybody and the socialist some went to exile (mao zedong)while here mao led to believe that both men and women were equall. women could divorce.

it also led to further industrialization in both countries since they both had been "left behind" before...more in russia than in china

They both ended up taking land away from the people!
China wanted to get away from foreign shesh-hold (or however you spell that)(and for example from Japan and GB)and, like Russia, that meant getting westernized.
oh, and China's revolution actually started with both Mao and the other dude together to kick out the foreigners, and theeen came civil war and they turned on eachother and then ended up communist.
Both countries had a fight between two main political parties (in Russia the red and the whites and in China the Nationalists and the other guys).
